Tahmeed Express has banned the transport of used bedding on its buses following a bedbug infestation that impacted passengers on the Mombasa-Nairobi route.

• The incident occurred on July 17, 2026, on bus KCR 615.
• The bus company confirmed the infestation after passenger complaints and videos circulated online.
• As a preventative measure, Tahmeed has also increased fumigation intervals and plans to upgrade bedding materials.
