The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is developing its first-ever Kenya Sign Language glossary for tax, customs, and system terminology to improve accessibility for deaf Kenyans.

• A total of 284 tax-related terms will receive corresponding Kenya Sign Language signs.
• Key organizations involved include the KRA, National Council for Persons with Disabilities, Kenya Sign Language Interpreters Association, and the Kenya National Association of the Deaf.
• This initiative aims to address gaps in tax literacy among deaf Kenyans by providing standard signs for complex terminology, minimizing miscommunication.
