Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has commenced his first political tour in his home county of Murang’a following his exit from President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and his subsequent joining of the opposition.

• Nyoro’s tour begins in Makuyu on Wednesday, August 19, to promote his new political message under the People’s Party of Kenya.
• Nyoro, a former staunch ally of President Ruto, has been consulting with various opposition leaders including Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, and Fred Matiang’i.
• This political shift signals a significant move ahead of the 2027 General Election, with Nyoro aiming to build a new political base and potentially challenge the current administration.
