- Public officers must now declare real, apparent, or potential conflicts of interest before or during discussions, decisions, debates, or votes where such conflicts arise.
- The EACC, through its CEO Abdi Mohamud, emphasizes the requirement for officers to recuse themselves from matters where a conflict exists.
- Declarations of income, assets, and liabilities, including those of spouses and dependent children under 18, are now more comprehensive, covering overseas assets and jointly held property.
