CFAO Mobility Kenya has initiated a recall for Toyota vehicles manufactured between 2001 and 2017 due to defective airbags supplied by Takata, which have been linked to injuries and fatalities worldwide.

• The recall involves airbags with faulty inflators that can detonate with excessive force, spraying metal shrapnel.
• Key organizations involved include CFAO Mobility Kenya and the Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI).
• The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) has approved the sharing of affected customers' contact details to facilitate the recall.
