Search and recovery efforts following a helicopter crash on Mt Ololokwe in Samburu County are being significantly challenged by difficult terrain and an active fire at the crash site.

• Seven people were on board the helicopter.
• The Kenya Red Cross Society is coordinating the recovery, deploying additional personnel from Isiolo.
• The crashed aircraft was a Eurocopter EC130 B4, registration 5Y-GYM, operated by Lady Lori Kenya Ltd.
