A Makadara Law Court has closed the investigation file into the fatal shooting of youth mobiliser Cecil Ouma, pending directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Police Constable Rashid Charo, bodyguard to Youth and Sports Principal Secretary Fikirini Jacobs, is the main suspect.

• The court closed the file after the investigating officer misled the court about the submission of the forensic report and investigation file to the ODPP.
• Rashid Charo was arrested following the June 30 shooting and later released on a Sh20,000 bond.
• Investigators are relying on ballistic analysis of two firearms recovered from the Principal Secretary's bodyguards to establish who fired the fatal shot.
