Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge has endorsed the Race for Mobility initiative, aiming to raise KSh100 million to fund pediatric wheelchairs for children with disabilities.

The campaign seeks to provide at least 200 custom-fitted pediatric wheelchairs, with each costing approximately KSh50,000.
The initiative is spearheaded by Michael Panther, founder of Hope Mobility Kenya, who will participate in the 2026 Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon on October 25.
Panther, a Person living With Disabilities (PWD), will be the first PWD to compete in the marathon's 42-km category in a professional racing wheelchair.
