Makueni County has partnered with Israeli-linked firm AnyWay Solutions to leverage satellite data and mapping technology for improved rural road investment planning.

• The agreement aims to shift Makueni from reactive road repairs to data-driven prioritization for its 14,000+ kilometer road network, of which 80% are earth and gravel roads.
• Key organizations involved include Makueni County and AnyWay Solutions, with support from the Embassy of Israel in Nairobi.
• The system will combine local knowledge with satellite data, GIS, and climate-risk information to assess road vulnerabilities and guide investment decisions, starting with a pilot in Mbooni Sub-County.
