The Federation of Women Lawyers-Kenya (FIDA-Kenya) is establishing a new justice centre to provide affordable legal aid, mediation, counselling, and protection services for women and girls.

• FIDA-Kenya is seeking to raise Sh4 million to operationalise the centre.
• The initiative was launched during the inaugural FIDA-Kenya Steps for Justice Walk on Saturday.
• The centre aims to address barriers to justice such as high costs, lengthy court processes, and social stigma, offering services like mediation with a success rate of 72-74%.
