The newly elected leadership of the Dock Workers Union (DWU) has officially taken office, facing a significant challenge with the discovery of substantial missing funds.

Sh82 million has been reported missing from one of the union's accounts.
The new General Secretary, Abubakar Mohamed Abdillahi, and his team are committed to investigating the irregular withdrawals and bringing those responsible to justice.
The union plans to conduct a comprehensive audit and rejoin the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu), while also addressing member concerns regarding promotions and medical schemes at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).
