Kenya's Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has announced the distribution of the Ksh1.4 billion Political Parties Fund, sparking questions about the allocation criteria.

• 70% of the fund is distributed based on the total votes parties received in the preceding General Election.
• Eligible parties must meet requirements such as gender balance in office bearers and representation of Special Interest Groups, with at least one elected representative.
• Notable allocations include UDA receiving approximately Ksh550 million, followed by ODM with about Ksh294 million.
