Ndindi Nyoro Calls for Murkomen's Resignation Over Rally Violence - August 2026

Ndindi Nyoro, leader of the People's Party of Kenya, has called for the resignation of Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen over rally violence. A Taita Taveta Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese cleric has accused President William Ruto's administration of widespread goonism and impunity, alleging nepotism, land grabbing, and a disregard for divergent views. Separately, several high-ranking government officials from Kenya's Coast region are reportedly engaged in an intensive campaign to ensure President William Ruto's re-election, seen as a strategic move to secure their own political positions following the upcoming General Election.
