Rigathi Gachagua, leader of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), has declared his willingness to support an opposition candidate other than himself if chosen to challenge President William Ruto in 2027.

• The consultations revealed strong support for Gachagua's presidential bid, but participants also cautioned against personal interests hindering the removal of President Ruto from office.
