- 60 percent of journalists covering the upcoming election will be doing so for the first time.
- The Media Council of Kenya (MCK), led by Chairman Maina Muiruri, and the Digital Journalists of Kenya (DJK) association, led by Chairman Andy Kagwa, are spearheading efforts.
