The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has strongly refuted allegations made by Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua regarding the 2027 General Election preparations.

• The IEBC dismissed claims of a predetermined tender for election technology and alleged bribery of senior officials as false and unsubstantiated.
• IEBC chairperson Erastus Ethekon stated that the procurement process for the Integrated Elections Management System is still in its early, transparent stages, with no company awarded a contract.
• The commission also denied allegations of politicians purchasing a house for the chairperson to influence decisions and defended the integrity and security of the voters' register.
