Medical interns and Ministry of Health staff facing delayed salaries can expect payment by Wednesday, September 2, according to the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU).

The KMPDU announced that all outstanding payments for affected personnel will be processed concurrently.
Dr Davji Bhimji Atellah, the KMPDU Secretary General, confirmed the Ministry's commitment following consultations.
A contributing factor to the delay for some medical interns was the late submission of required documentation for payroll inclusion.
