The family of late KCB executive Rosemary Chemutai Koech has explained their decision to bury her at their family home in Chepseon, Kericho County, at night, defying a court order.

• The court order sought to halt the burial without the consent of Rosemary's husband, Kevin Migwe Kimwatu, who wanted her buried at his ancestral home in Ngong.
• Rosemary's parents, Beatrice Koech and Paul Koech, stated their priority was to provide a dignified resting place and a convenient location for her four children to visit.
• The family asserted that the land where Rosemary was buried is hers and expressed their commitment to caring for her children.
• The dispute, which centers on burial location and potentially next-of-kin designation, is expected to return to court on August 31.
