COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has stated that Kenya lacks a serious opposition without the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, while also urging support for President William Ruto's leadership.

• He also endorsed Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, calling him an "honest, pragmatic, practical and loyal leader."
