OPPO is set to launch ColorOS 17, built on Android 17, in September, marking a significant software update for OPPO, OnePlus, and realme phones.

• The update introduces a "glassy, floaty and bouncy" navigation style with floating capsules and new animation engines called Fluid Fusion and Flexible Feedback System.
• Despite initial promises of "no redesign," ColorOS 17 features a frosted glass aesthetic with glows, blurs, and updated UI elements.
• A closed beta is underway for select high-end models, with the stable version expected alongside the Find X10 in China; rollout schedules for other regions, including Kenya, are yet to be announced.
