Mohammed Kala Ali, founder and CEO of Identity Auto Fabricators Limited, has successfully built a specialized vehicle body fabrication business in Nairobi, Kenya, despite starting during the economic uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic.

• The company fabricates specialized bodies for minibuses, buses, trucks, tippers, and tankers, serving the East African region.
• Started with nine employees, the business now employs over 200 staff and is planning to expand to a larger manufacturing plant.
• Custom body fabrication ranges from Sh150,000 to Sh6 million, with turnkey vehicles costing between Sh4 million and Sh20 million.
