Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kiambu emerged as the leading counties for insurance premiums in Kenya in 2025, according to data from the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA).

• Nairobi accounted for a dominant 81.1 per cent of the nation's insurance premiums.
• The IRA reported a strong industry growth, with gross direct premiums rising 16.5 per cent to Sh466.58 billion.
• Long-term insurance was the primary driver of premium growth, increasing by 23.2 per cent.
