Kenyan counties are adopting digital land records and geospatial technologies to boost revenue collection and improve public administration, with support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Council of Governors (CoG).

• The initiative aims to strengthen capacity in land administration, planning, natural resource management, and data-driven decision-making across all 47 counties.
• This effort comes as the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) raises concerns over the prolonged downtime of the ArdhiSasa platform since September 1, 2026, disrupting land transactions.
• Over 1,000 county government officers have been trained in areas like geospatial services and urban planning to support the digitization efforts.
