ABC Bank has officially joined the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS), enabling customers to conduct near-instantaneous payments across 28 participating African countries.

• Customers can now send payments in Kenyan shillings or US dollars, with recipients receiving funds in their local currency or US dollars respectively.
• The integration significantly reduces the cost and time previously associated with traditional international transfers, as highlighted by ABC Bank Managing Director Apollo Njoroge.
• Developed by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, PAPSS aims to facilitate faster and cheaper intra-African payments.
