Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has finally launched the Range Rover Electric, its first all-electric vehicle for the iconic model, but it arrives years behind competitors, particularly from China.

• The Range Rover Electric is priced at approximately KES 18.2 million in Kenya, before duties.
• Despite a large 118.5 kWh battery, its estimated range of 333 miles (536 km) falls short compared to newer Chinese EVs.
• JLR faced significant delays, including a cyberattack in August 2025, pushing the launch from an initial 2024 target to October 2026.
