Fuse Holdings Loses Tax Appeal Over Missing Ownership and Loan Records - September 2026

A property firm, Fuse Holdings Limited, has lost a significant tax appeal, failing to convince the Tax Appeals Tribunal regarding its ownership and loan records for the years 2020 and 2021. The High Court in Nairobi has received a challenge against the gazettement of the liquidation of Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operative Union Limited (KUSCCO). Separately, a printing firm called Graphic Lineups Limited has lost a tax appeal and must pay Sh15.7 million in Value Added Tax (VAT) on an imported printing press. Additionally, the High Court has quashed a legal opinion that cleared the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) to make payments linked to a company associated with its former chairperson, Mary Wambui Mungai.
