Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr Mathews Owili has officially launched his bid to succeed Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o in the 2027 General Election.

• Dr. Owili served two terms as deputy governor under Prof. Nyong’o, pledging to build on existing foundations and complete pending projects.
• His 10-point agenda focuses on enhancing healthcare, infrastructure, water, youth employment, education, and support for farmers and small businesses.
• He aims to fast-track projects like the 30-kilometre Lakeside Promenade and establish Special Economic Zones to boost the county's economy.
