Members of the National Assembly have demanded investigations into missing funds and stalled projects at two Kisii County technical colleges, Kitutu Chache South and South Mugirango Technical Colleges.

• Millions of shillings allocated for projects at Kitutu Chache South Technical College, initially awarded at Sh57.05 million in April 2019, remain unspent, with the contract later increased to Sh67.1 million and extended significantly.
• The Public Investments Committee on Governance and Education, chaired by Dick Maungu, is concerned about prolonged delays, contract variations, missing documents, and potential mismanagement of public funds.
• Despite challenges including difficult terrain and payment disputes, Kisii National Polytechnic's chief principal, Geoffrey Andama, reported the Kitutu Chache South project is about 90 percent complete, expressing optimism for a resolution within three months.
