First Assurance has paid out Sh129.4 million to Sun World Safaris to support the rebuilding of Mara Bush Camp, which suffered extensive damage from flooding earlier this year.

• The payout covers damages caused by the flooding of the Olare Orok River in the first quarter of 2026.
• Key organizations involved are First Assurance (the insurer) and Sun World Safaris (the insured business).
• The settlement, made under a fire insurance policy covering natural disaster risks, will enable the camp to resume operations.
