A six-member Refugee Olympic Team is set to compete in the first-ever Youth Olympics on African soil, held in Dakar, Senegal from October 31 to November 13.

The team, selected from Kenya and Uganda, has undergone intensive training at the Complete Sports training camp in Kaptagat.
Mentored by two-time Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge, the athletes represent various athletic disciplines including sprinting, 800m, judo, and taekwondo.
The National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K), in collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), facilitated the team's selection and preparation to ensure refugees have an equal opportunity in sports.
