The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has announced a month-long commemoration in October to honor the memory of its late founder, Raila Amolo Odinga, marking one year since his passing.

• The month will be known as "Mwezi Wa Baba" (Baba's Month), featuring nine planned activities across various regions.
• Key events include a nationwide candle-lighting ceremony on October 2, a major memorial rally in Kakamega town on October 9, and the main memorial service at Kang'o ka Jaramogi in Bondo, Siaya County on October 15, the anniversary of his death.
• ODM aims to encourage supporters to rededicate their commitment to Odinga's ideals.
