Absa Bank Kenya has officially appointed Yusuf Omari as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Omari has been serving as the Interim MD and CEO since 1st July 2026.

• Yusuf Omari, previously the bank's Chief Financial Officer since 2009, brings over two decades of extensive banking experience.
• The appointment was announced by Absa Bank Kenya, with commendations from the Chairman, Mohammed Nyaoga, and Regional Executive for East Africa, Saviour Chibiya.
• Omari's tenure as CFO saw him significantly strengthen the bank's financial performance and support growth across its various banking franchises.
