• The MP is concerned about the safety of the ferry and its passengers and wants authorities to investigate the cause of the incident, whether it was due to adverse weather, the ferry ramp's condition, or mechanical issues.
• Likoni MP Mishi Mboko is urging the Kenyan Government to expedite the reinstatement of the Mtongwe ferry service as an alternative route.
• She also appealed to ferry users not to panic and jump into the channel during emergencies, emphasizing the importance of remaining calm and following crew instructions.
