King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, once the world's youngest monarch, was due to be buried on Saturday in western Uganda, following his death at age 34. His passing has ignited a fierce succession dispute within the Tooro Kingdom.

• King Oyo ascended the throne at age 3 in 1995.
• The dispute is between a cousin, Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, chosen by a royal clan committee, and an alleged son of the late king, as claimed by his immediate family.
• The Ugandan military has increased security in the region amidst the succession battle.
