A former employee of a state-affiliated power generation company has been sentenced to 11 years in prison after being convicted of using forged academic and disability documents to secure employment and illicitly obtain over Ksh14.9 million.

• The convicted former employee defrauded the company of Ksh14.946 million in salaries and benefits.
• The case was prosecuted by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
• The individual used a forged KCSE certificate to secure an employee position and a fraudulent disability certificate for tax exemptions.
