The Kenyan government has processed 1,083 claims for compensation totaling Sh1 billion stemming from human rights violations during demonstrations and public protests.

• A total of Sh1.014 billion has been disbursed under the compensation program.
• The Panel of Experts on Compensation of Victims of Human Rights Violations is overseeing the verification and payment process.
• Compensation has been provided to both civilians and 100 uniformed officers who experienced rights violations.
