The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has busted an alleged counterfeit maize flour repackaging operation in Kasarani, seizing thousands of packets and arresting seven suspects.

• Recovered items include 3,682 packets of a popular brand valued at approximately Ksh312,120, plus hundreds of packets from three other brands.
• The operation involved repackaging flour using labels resembling popular brands, raising concerns about market safety amid an anticipated maize shortage.
• The DCI, alongside the Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA), is investigating the syndicate and analyzing the seized products.
