Governor Anne Waiguru has officially opened the Kavote Dispensary in Karumandi Ward, Kirinyaga County, bringing much-needed healthcare services closer to approximately 5,000 residents who previously travelled over five kilometres for medical attention.

• The new dispensary will offer outpatient services, maternal and child healthcare, laboratory, and pharmaceutical services.
• Governor Waiguru highlighted this opening as part of a broader strategy to strengthen primary healthcare, with over 13 new dispensaries now operational across Kirinyaga.
• The county is also investing in higher-level facilities and has recruited over 64 healthcare workers in the last financial year, with more to be hired this year.
