Kenya's Ministry of Health is seeking additional funding from Austria for the second phase of the KSh900 million Mother and Child-Our Future programme at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

• Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale met with Austrian Health Minister Korinna Schumann in Vienna to discuss sustaining and expanding these gains.
• The renewed push follows recent public attention on infant mortality and capacity challenges at KNH, a key referral center for complex maternal and newborn cases.
