Tragedy has struck a family in Juja, Kiambu County, as all five newborn quintuplets have died. The babies, born extremely prematurely, were transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for specialized care.

• All five babies have passed away.
• The mother, Mercy Kanini, 28, delivered the quintuplets at Thika Level Five Hospital.
• The babies were born between 26 and 27 weeks of gestation and weighed between 630 and 800 grammes.
