A senior Kenyan police officer, reportedly having recently served in Haiti, was among five people killed in a suspected bandit attack in Gotu, Isiolo County. The attack also claimed the lives of two anti-stock theft officers. Following the incident, protests erupted in Isiolo town, leading to the blockage of the Isiolo-Moyale Highway.
