Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa claims he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Kenya University (MKU), disputing allegations of a fake degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

• Didmus Barasa asserts he has a Bachelor of Arts from MKU and a PhD from Murang’a University.
• JKUAT has stated it has no record of Barasa as a student and did not award him the alleged engineering degree.
• JKUAT informed the Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK) in a letter dated September 14 that Barasa's certificate is not genuine.
