The death toll from a Turbo petrol tanker explosion has risen to three after one more person succumbed to their injuries. 11 out of 23 victims are currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with severe burns.

• The tragedy occurred on Thursday night when a fuel tanker overturned and exploded in the Juakali area on the busy Eldoret-Webuye highway.
• MTRH Medical Director Andrew Wandera provided the latest figures.
• Locals had rushed to siphon fuel from the tanker following a road accident when the explosion happened, engulfing those nearby in a fireball.
