Kenya and Ethiopia are collaborating to transform textile waste into job opportunities by integrating green and circular economy skills into vocational training programs.

• 4,600 learners have been trained in fashion design, textile production, and circular entrepreneurship, using fabric offcuts and discarded textiles.
• The initiative, supported by organizations like Edukans Kenya, has reached over 50 vocational colleges and trained 500 teachers.
• This program aims to address youth unemployment and reduce pollution by enabling young people to create marketable products from waste, fostering green enterprises and innovation.
