A helicopter crash near the summit of Mount Ololokwe in Samburu County on August 19 resulted in the deaths of all seven occupants after striking a rock.

• The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID) determined the crash occurred after the helicopter's landing skid hit a rock during a sightseeing manoeuvre.
• The helicopter, an Airbus EC130 B4 operated by Lady Lori (Kenya) Ltd, was carrying pilot Josh Outram and six passengers, including former Ecuadorian intelligence chief Michele Sensi Contugi.
• The passengers were scheduled to have breakfast at the summit, and the flight path indicated a low-level flight along the cliff face before the accident.
