Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has pledged to replace the vehicle of a taxi driver injured and whose car was burned during political violence in Homa Bay. The incident occurred during a Linda Mwananchi rally on August 16.

• Steven Otieno, a taxi driver, sustained injuries and his Subaru Legacy was torched, leaving him unable to work.
• The pledge was made by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna following Otieno's account of the events and his struggle to recover his livelihood.
• The vehicle belonged to Otieno's sister, a young widow, and was his primary source of income.
