Laikipia County has implemented stricter regulations for herders entering the region from other counties, requiring official documentation to prevent land conflicts and protect private property.

• Herders must now present letters from their chiefs detailing their destination and host in Laikipia.
• This measure aims to mitigate conflicts arising from livestock grazing on private farms without consent, as stated by Assistant County Commissioner Onesmus Kamau.
• Mukutan Conservancy, through its corporate social responsibility programme, donated a water tank, desks, and a girls' toilet block to Laikipia Ranching Primary and Junior School.
