The National Lands Commission (NLC) has announced plans to compulsorily acquire over 2,600 acres of land in Lamu County to facilitate the LAPSSET Corridor Road project.

• Over 2,600 acres (approximately 1,090.90 hectares) are slated for acquisition.
• The National Lands Commission (NLC) is the acquiring body on behalf of the LAPSSET Corridor.
• The acquired land will be used for the LAPSSET Corridor Road, a key component of the Ksh181 billion infrastructure program.
