The Nairobi County Government has initiated a significant urban renewal effort by inviting bids for a mixed-use housing project in Eastleigh, aimed at redeveloping old housing estates and increasing access to affordable housing.

• The project will span 1.279 acres and feature at least 10 levels of apartments with the lower four floors dedicated to retail and commercial spaces.
• The development will be implemented through a Joint Venture (JV), where Nairobi County contributes land and the successful bidder finances the project and provides technical expertise.
• This initiative is part of the broader Nairobi Urban Renewal Programme, which is guided by the Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Master Plan (NIUPLAN) and has been supported by the World Bank and the State Department for Housing and Urban Development.
