Kenya and the Solomon Islands have officially established diplomatic relations, ushering in a new era of cooperation. The agreement was formalized through the signing of a Joint Communiqué by key representatives from both nations.

• The pact aims to foster cooperation in areas such as trade, the blue economy, climate action, and skills and knowledge exchange.
• The agreement was signed by Kenya's Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and his counterpart, Rick Nelson Houenipwela, Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade of the Solomon Islands.
• This diplomatic tie is expected to strengthen Kenya's engagement in the Pacific and create new markets and opportunities, particularly for young people and entrepreneurs in Kenya.
